The Bluetooth hearing aids use the newest 2.4 GHz Bluetooth wireless protocol. Older models of hearing aids, although called ‘wireless’, use a 10.6 MHz digitally coded inductive link. There is no compatibility between the different devices.

Note: It is NOT possible to upgrade older hearing aids to support 2.4 GHz Bluetooth technology.

Currently, the Unitron hearing aids that support 2.4 GHz Bluetooth wireless protocol are:

  • Discover Next platform: Moxi Jump R T, Moxi Move R, Moxi Fit, Stride P R, Stride M and Insera W 312 D
  • Discover platform: Moxi Fit, Moxi Jump R, Moxi Jump R T and Stride P R
  • Tempus platform: Moxi All
  • Blu platform: Moxi B-R, Moxi B-RT, Moxi B-312, Stride B-PR, Stride B-UP, Insera 312 D
  • Vivante platform: Moxi V-R, Moxi V-RT, Moxi V-RS

In this section these hearing aids will be referenced as Bluetooth hearing aids or simply hearing aids.
