Here are a few ways we’re giving back.
The Hear the World (HTW) Foundation is a Sonova Group initiative and non-profit organization with a mission to address the hearing loss challenges facing developing countries and create a world in which each person has the chance of good hearing. To date, more than 50 projects on five continents have been supported by the foundation, helping hundreds of children.
Founded by Sonova, the non-profit Swiss foundation has supported over 80 projects in 39 countries with funding, hearing aid technology and expertise. Unitron employees are encouraged to volunteer and participate in Hear the World projects worldwide.
Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides mission is to assist Canadians with a disability by providing them dog guides. The Foundation operates Dog Guides Canada, a preeminent national training school and charity that assists individuals with disabilities through specialized dog guide programs. Dog guides are provided at no cost to eligible Canadians from coast to coast despite costing $25,000 to train and place. The Foundation relies on donations from individuals, service clubs, foundations and corporations and does not receive any government funding.
To date, Unitron has proudly sponsored 14 hearing ear dog guides using funds raised by employees.
