September 2, 2020 — Kitchener, Canada — Unitron’s newest platform, Discover Next, makes connecting with loved ones even easier than before thanks to advanced technology that makes even the softest-spoken people easier to understand, even in a noisy environment, whenever and wherever they are. Our expanded family of hearing instruments offer the latest technology with comfort and style based on award-winning designs.
“Our sound processing technology delivers key nuances of speech and environmental cues paired with comfortable, modern styles that help wearers get to the heart of great conversations,” says Sandra Fulton, VP Group Marketing.
The number one need of hearing instrument wearers is to hear better in noisy environments.1 SoundCore, the signal processor inside Unitron hearing instruments, combines four powerful technologies to provide a seamless listening experience that helps wearers hear conversations more clearly and comfortably in every environment.
On Discover Next, we’ve added newer features within these technologies to enhance the listening experience further to help wearers determine who is talking, detect the location of voices, and pick up on subtle cues – such as the intonation and underlying emotion of words – which help improve the overall understanding of meaning in speech.
Soft speech lift boosts subtle speech cues without increasing the overall level, providing key information to get to the deeper meaning of quiet conversations.
Spectral Speech is an exciting new fourth dimension of our premium binaural solution for noisy environments, SpeechPro. In addition to automatically applying directionality and preserving localization cues, Spectral Speech adds further contrast between speech and noise to help clients better understand words and emotions in complex listening situations.
Plus, remote adjust lets hearing care professionals make changes to gain and compression whenever and wherever their clients are – without having to come to the office for an appointment.
“We’re known for great sound performance that offers superior speech understanding, but really meaningful conversations go beyond words,” says Donald Hayes, Director of Clinical Research. “The Discover Next platform delivers speech and environmental cues that enable wearers to understand the deeper meaning of words, in both quiet and noisy environments, and now, they can experience optimization outside of the clinic for truly great interactions anytime, anywhere.”
Our expanded range of hearing instruments not only sound great, they offer comfort and style thanks to our design philosophy that puts users first. Our hearing instrument styles have been recognized for their design excellence – including the MoxiTM Jump R, the latest hearing instrument to win a prestigious Red Dot Product Design 2020 award. Five other models have earned Red Dot awards since 2014.
Our smallest lithium-ion RIC (receiver-in-canal) MoxiTM Move R joins the product family with hassle-free technology that lasts all day and delivers easy connections to all kinds of favorite tech – including smartphones, tablets and more. The Discover Next platform offers an expanded range of styles: RIC, behind-the-ear (BTE) and in-the-ear (ITE) models and the latest sound performance technology designed to make conversations even more meaningful
