Making a difference

Providing audiological support

for over a decade

Since 2006, Hear the World initiatives have provided disadvantaged children access to sustainable audiological care and speech therapy.

Founded by Sonova, the non-profit Swiss foundation has supported over 80 projects in 39 countries with funding, hearing aid technology and expertise.  Unitron employees are offered the opportunity to volunteer to be a part of Hear the World projects worldwide.

Hear the World in Malawi, Africa

Unitron volunteers visited the ABC Hearing Clinic and Training Centre, Malawi's first audiology clinic in 2014.  The team helped to equip local teams with new skills to provide better solutions for conductive hearing loss, to perform hearing aid repairs, and to reach more people with solutions for hearing loss.  They also supported outreach clinics in various parts of the country.

"Regain Hearing - Join Life"

project in Nairobi

This project was established to provide hearing aids and hearing services to disadvantaged children in Nairobi.  In 2013, Unitron volunteers helped secure, install and train project audiologists on newly donated fitting equipment.
